Halloween

We had a great time this Halloween--Noah was a pirate and Anslee was a tootsie roll! We went to a couple of Halloween parties, Noah's preschool did a Halloween program, and we went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point where we went on a hayride, did the corn maze, shot corn cobs at metal cows out of an air gun (that sounds really lame, but it was actually fun!) and went down lots of slides. We did not, however, go trick or treating, and for good reason:

1. Noah doesn't like candy!! The last thing we needed was a bunch of candy for me and Jaren to eat! 2. Noah doesn't like strangers! As many of you have witnessed, if a stranger tries to talk to Noah, he screams at them, so we didn't think it would be a good idea to go to strangers' houses and have Noah scream at people. 3. By the time Halloween actually rolled around, Noah was so sick of his costume that he refused to wear it again. In fact, he tried to take it off during his Halloween program at preschool.

So, we couldn't really find any good reasons to take Noah--we're hoping next year will be "his" year! By then Anslee will be 18 months and we're keeping our fingers crossed that she likes candy (that sounds crazy, but after all we've been through with Noah, I would rather have a child that I have to say no to about eating things than have to constantly coax to eat things).
